What's Up(stairs), Doc?
Plans for the Post War Premiere project are taking shape! This one story is destined to become a two story beauty. The original house is a two bedroom, one bathroom home. We will transform it into a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom gem!

The first thing I do when revamping floor plans is removing hallways whenever possible. They take up a lot of square footage, especially in small houses where space is at a premium. Also they make floor plans choppy, and almost everyone today wants an open feel to their home. So, the hallway goes on the chopping block. Just taking out the hallway makes the living space so much bigger! Get rid of the wall between the dining room and living room, and it starts to feel more modern already.
Since we decided we are adding an upstairs addition, we also must find a place for stairs. Of course when doing this, you have to take into account how they fit into the upstairs layout, and make sure there is head room in the second floor where they land. So much to consider! Ultimately, we decided to put the stairs approximately where the pantry is in the current layout.
To further modernize the layout, we need a master suite. The existing bedrooms will be combined to create a great sized bedroom with a luxe master bath and large closet.
The laundry will get upgraded from a laundry closet to an actual laundry room with a mud/landing area.
Upstairs will have two brand new bedrooms, an additional bath, and a loft. It is going to feel so much bigger than it looks from the outside!
